Obituary for William C. Huff Jr.

William Clyde Huff Jr. Passed away Aug 30th surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in dover on August 13th 1944 and spent his last years in the loving care of the nurses and staff at the Rochester Manor. Bill also known as Joe to his family, spent his life doing what he loved, working on cars, woodworking, busting chops, and later in life coloring and drawing and playing bingo. He was a man of many talents and skills. He was a great actor, playing the role grumpy old man even from a young age but those who knew him knew he was really a big softy. He loved fast cars, women, and a cheap beer, but most of all he loved everyone he counted as a friend. He was always one to help and though he had a gruff exterior he was truly a social butterfly. He was a long-time member of the Elks, the Jaycee’s, the Club Victoire and the American Legion. He was always quick with a joke or an insult, as that was his love language. He was a simple man who asked for little and complained less. Though in the end his heart was weak, throughout his life it is what he used the most.

He will be missed by all.

Bill is predeceased by his parents William Sr and Grace, his sister Eleanor Gillis whom he loved very much, his brother John, his beloved wife Ann, and his son Danny. He is survived by his son Scott Huff and daughter-in-law Jamie and grandsons Cayden and Griffin, his daughter Kerri-Ann, his favorite niece Christine Demers and her husband Gary and their daughter Haylee, his friends Harry Proulx and his late friend Billy Potter who could always be counted on for a cup of coffee.
