It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wes Hendrickson, 87, of Barrington, on Saturday, October 8, 2022, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Dover on July 24, 1935 to Wesley and Yvonne (Doyon) Hendrickson. Wes served 9 years in the U.S. Air Force, returned home and worked at Montgomery Wards in Dover, then had a career as an electrician at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was a member of the American Legion, and Moose Lodge in Dover, where he called Bingo for many years.
Wes enjoyed playing golf, taking rides, and spending time at Totem Pole Park in Freedom.
Wes is survived by his children Lauren (David) Brown of South Berwick, ME, Wesley (Angela) Hendrickson, Jr. of New Jersey, Shelley (John) Slavoski of NH, Jennifer (David) Paige-Hill of Somersworth, 8 grandchildren, his sister Elaine King of Barrington, former companion Dorothy Perron of Dover, her children Bonnie, Barbara and Charlie, long time friend Jan Cloutier of Florida, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Gloria Boulanger, Claire Buckless, and brother Edward “Tommy” Hendrickson.
Visitation will be held at 10AM on Friday, October 21, followed by his funeral at 11AM. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dover. To sign an online guestbook, visit www.purdyfuneralservice.com
