Obituary for Virginia Ross Mrs.

Barrington, NH - Virginia Ross, 82, went peacefully to be with the Lord Sunday September 21st, 2014 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Westford, Massachusetts on May 23rd, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Doris (Patten) Rivinius. Virginia “Ginnie” shared 60 years with her husband Shepley making their home in Barrington for 50 of those years. Ginnie enjoyed her travels across the country, and also to Europe with Shepley. She enjoyed staying at Orange Lake in Florida, Ogunquit Beach in Maine, and the family camp on Mirror Lake. Ginnie enjoyed her family, all New England sports teams, bird watching, gardening, knitting, card games, and in her earlier years, candlepin bowling. Throughout the years Virginia worshipped at the Barrington Congregational Church, Emmanuel Advent Christian Church, and the Durham Evangelical Church. Virginia was predeceased by her brother Roger Rivinius and her son Bill Ross. Virginia will be deeply missed by family and friends including husband Shepley; son Chip Ross and his wife Karen, daughter in law Gwen Ross, daughter Judy Frase and her husband Steve, daughter Karen Harton and her husband Tom, brother Richard Rivinius and his wife June, sister in law Shirley Rivinius; grandchildren Trisha, Bethany, Katie, Michael, Nicole, Sarah, Peter, April, Joshua, Corey and Stevie; one great granddaughter Aria. Friends may visit with Ginnie’s family on Tuesday September 23rd from 6-7 PM at the Purdy Funeral Home in Lee, NH. A service will follow at 7 PM.
