Barrington: Viola Gertrude Clark, 88, of Clark Lane passed away on Tues., Nov.1, 2011 at her residence. She was born on April 8, 1923 in Raymond, NH; the daughter of Kelly and Susan (Sargent) Elliot. Viola was a housewife, mother and worked as a custodian for UNH from which she retired at 62 years old. She enjoyed the family gatherings on Saturday nights with her homemade bread and baked beans and everyone playing cards after dinner. Viola is survived by her two sons, John Clark and Ernest Clark and his wife, Susan all of Barrington; her daughter, Susan (Clark) Ross and her husband, Ronnie of Rochester; her 3 grandchildren, Gerry, Robin and Gregg; two great granddaughters, Caylee and Emily; three siblings, Robert, Clayton and Helen; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Viola was predeceased by her husband Ernest William Clark in 1995 and her seven siblings, James, Earl, Charles, Clarence, Arthur, Catherine and Evelyn. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Fri., Nov.4, 2011 at the Lee Hill Cemetery, on Rt. 155, Lee, NH.
