Obituary for Verne Richard Sawtelle
Verne R. Sawtelle, 87, passed away May 31, 2023 at Watson Fields Assisted Living in Dover, NH. He was born in Andover, NH; the son of Raymond and L. Belle Rivers Sawtelle, and graduated from Concord High School.
Verne worked for the State of NH Department of Transportation for 39 years, first on Survey and then in the Utilities section.
He loved the outside, whether camping, hunting, fishing, playing golf, or doing yardwork. His pride and joy was a 1931 Ford Model A coupe owned for 24 years.
Verne is survived by wife Kathleen, his daughter Terri (Jim) Brennan, sons Randy, Barry, and Scott Sawtelle and their partners, his sisters, Barbara Brown, six grandchildren, the mother of his children Fran Clapp, and nieces and nephews.
