Obituary for Thomas W Geoffrion

Thomas W. Geoffrion, 45 of 6 South Cranberry Ln. Rochester, NH, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle of cancer. Tom was born on May 9, 1977. Tom is survived by his mother Donna Nickless and husband Jim of Rochester, brother Jeff Nickless and wife Shelby, of Middleton, Father Allen Geoffrion, wife Beth, brother Zayne and sister Monica of Gonic. He leaves behind his Grandmother Gabrielle Wells and Nana Betty Geoffrion as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tom attended Spaulding High School in Rochester NH class of 1995. Tom went on to study Business at Southern New Hampshire University graduating with a MBA class of 2009.

Throughout his working years Tom built his skill set as a carpenter, machinist, mechanic and painter. Tom spent the last 10 years working at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard as a painter and NDT Inspector. Tom enjoyed his work and took pride in what he did.

Tom could do just about anything. Some would say he was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed home improvement, plumbing, remodeling, building decks and automotive work. Another passion was his love of music. Tom’s favorite pastime was going to concerts. Tom would pre-buy tickets ahead of time to ensure he didn’t miss out. He would always purchase a 2nd ticket to have a friend join in on the fun. With every concert came a new T-Shirt. Tom enjoyed a wide genre of music from classic Rock and Roll to Alternative, Blues, Classical music and yes a little bit Country too. Tom also had a passion to record local bands in the seacoast area and was known as Tommy Two Thumbs. Tom also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and making the annual trip to Laconia Bike week. Tom was an avid Spartan Race competitor rewarded with many metals of completion.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends and all those who met him.

Tom was predeceased by his Grandfather Albert O. Geoffrion and will be laid to rest at his side at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Barrington, NH.

Private service will be held on Tuesday October 4th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Purdy Memorial Chapel, Lee NH. An immediate family graveside burial will follow at 12:00 PM.
