Obituary for Theresa F. Renaud Mrs.

DOVER – Theresa Renaud, age 95, a resident of Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Dover, formerly of 1 Renaud Avenue in Dover, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2014. She was born on November 14, 1918 in Hooksett NH, the daughter of Oliver and Georgie (Paquette) Laronde. At the age of one, the family moved to Durham NH where she attended the Durham Public Grade Schools. Theresa loved to dance and took tap and ballet lessons as a child. She attended Dover High School. Theresa married Leopold Renaud of Dover, NH where they raised their family on Renaud Avenue. During World War II, Theresa worked as an operator for the New England Telephone Co. in Durham and Somersworth, NH. She retired from the Woodman Park School Lunch Program in 1993 after serving there for 20 years. Theresa was an avid reader who read on average over 4 books per week up until she passed away. She loved to knit and made many beautiful sweaters over the years for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she cherished dearly. Theresa is survived by her son Paul Renaud (wife Linda) of Sanford, daughter Judy Renaud of Dover, seven grandchildren: Richard Warnke, Ann Rash, Karen O’Neill, Jean Schultz, JoAnn Black, Leon Renaud and Rebecca Hayes. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Theresa was predeceased by her husband Leopold, daughter Jill Warnke, and her sisters Germaine Laronde and Beatrice Barton. Special thanks to Linda and Jim Davis who have always been like family to Theresa as well as to the nursing staff at Dover Center for Health & Rehabilitation for their dedication and care. Memorial donations may be made in Theresa’s name to the Dover Public Library. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 in the Parish of the Assumption at St. Joseph’s Parish Church, 150 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820, with Father Agapit Jean, officiating.
