Obituary for Shirley K. Sullivan (King)
Sullivan, Shirley K., Age 81, of Durham, NH, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on December 28, 2020, following a long illness.
Shirley was born in Malden, MA on April 28, 1939, the daughter of Michael and Jean (Brown) King. Shirley was a graduate of Malden High School. After high school Shirley was employed by State Street Bank for 35+ years prior to her retirement. Shirley enjoyed skiing, boating, camping, cooking, and spending time with family. Shirley was also a member of the Garden Club, Women’s Group, and served as treasurer of their ski club for many years.
Shirley was the loving wife of Philip Sullivan who just recently passed away in March of 2020. Shirley was predeceased by her sister Arlene Barrett. Shirley leaves behind brother-in-law Paul Barrett of Wilmington, her brother Ronald King and his wife Janine of Wilmington, her sister-in-law Carolyn Harris and her husband Gregory of Wilmington, MA North Conway, NH, and her “girls” Jean Barrett and her husband Eric Baldi of Wilmington, MA, Kellie McHugh and her companion Jerry Capaldi of Tewksbury, MA, and Paula Barrett of Melrose, MA.
Shirley is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Justine Sutton, Michael King and his wife Erin, Emily Viera and her husband Joseph, Jason Harris and his wife Sarah all of Wilmington, MA. Shirley is also survived by fourteen great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 11:00am – 12:00pm, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH with private services to follow.
