Sean Allan Wilcox 53 of Gonic NH passed away with his nephew Cameron Hults, daughter Ashly Wilcox, and his parents by his side at the Exeter Hospital on January 25, 2023, at 5:49 am after a brief battle with a chronic lung disease. He was born January 22, 1970, in Portsmouth Virginia at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He was the beloved son of Wayne and Patricia Wilcox of Gonic New Hampshire, devoted father of Bryanna Wilcox and Ashley Wilcox, both of Manchester NH, and the love of his live his emotional support dog Lily. Loving brother of Lea Ann Wilcox of Gonic NH, and Rebecca Ann White and Husband Gilbert White of Rochester NH. Also survived by his girlfriend of six years Joellen Metcalf of Newmarket NH, many loving nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Sean grew up knowing what an important part his family played in his life, He had a profound sense of humor, a continuous laugh, thoughtful, very creative, full of wit and very caring.
Sean grew up in Londonderry NH where he attended Londonderry South School Elementary, Londonderry Junior High School and was a graduate of Londonderry High School, Class of 1990.
His parents would like to express their thanks for his nurses and doctors who took excellent care of him while he was in the hospital. They would also like to thank his Boss, co-workers, nephews, his two sisters, girlfriend of six years, his two daughters, high school friends, and close friends of the family all who shared his last day with him at the hospital laughing and sharing stories making him laugh. Many could sense the love in that room for Sean and his family.
Sean has requested a celebration of life to be held at the home of his parents on July 4th weekend with a cookout and with a large display of fireworks. Details will follow at a later date.
His family, nieces, nephews, close friends, his summer camping friends and Lily, will truly miss him. He will always remain in our hearts forever.
