Somersworth: Sanford T. Salava, 74, Tri City Road, Sunday, November 18, 2018 passed away at his residence. Sandy was born on July 1, 1944 in Madison, WI; the son of Harold and Florence (Oakley) Salava. Sandy served our country proudly in the US Army, stationed on the DMZ during the Korean War and sent to Vietnam with the 1st Air Cav. out of Ft. Benning, GA and The Coast Guard Reserve. He was an Insurance Broker. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing. A retired Deputy Chief, Dover Fire Dept., a member of many clubs, the Elks (30 years), Moses Paul Lodge, Bektash Shrine and former Chairman of the American Red Cross, Strafford County Chapter. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Salava and Ted Salava; his granddaughter, Morgan; his sisters, Judy Hess and Debbie Warner; his significant other, Doreen Halla.
