Sally Anne Ellis of Dover NH passed away peacefully Saturday morning surrounded by her immediate family. Sally was born in North Conway NH to loving parents Raymond W. and Nellie Belle (Cummings) Monroe. Sally is survived by her husband James, her 4 children Raymond, Julie, Mitch, and Wendy and her adopted son Dennis; daughters-in-law Lynne and Linda, and sons-in-law Marc and Scott. Sally is also survived by her older sister Arlene and brother in law Tom Pomerleau of Berlin NH, as well as her 9 grandchildren Aimee, Brian, April, Amanda, Ashley, Jamie, Katie, Alauna and Risten; and her 6 great-grandchildren Jada, Mikayla, Chase, Ella, Brody and Zoey. She was pre-deceased by her parents Raymond and Nellie Munroe, and her two brothers Buddy and Ronnie. Sally was a beautiful woman from the inside out with bright blue eyes full of life. At the age of 82, Sally was still a starry-eyed school girl that was in love with her “Jimmy”. The next great love of Sally’s life was her family. Some of her most cherished memories were of family cruises, holidays, and family gatherings. Sally was a strong woman who never complained even on the hardest days. With Jimmy by her side they championed a beautiful life with humor and perseverance. All will miss her love and friendship but most of all her smile which lit up the room. Services for Sally will be held on Thursday October 25th at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion funeral home, 655 Central Ave Dover NH. Calling hours will be held from 5-6pm. All are invited to stay for funeral services which will begin at 6 pm. Friends and family are welcome to a celebration of life following the funeral service at 276 Tolend Road Dover NH. Flowers are welcomed and there is an online registry and leave memoirs.
