Obituary for Rose Emily Slowey Mrs.

Mrs. Rose Emily (Frade) Slowey, 71, of Somersworth, NH, wife of the late Thomas James Slowey, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Hyder Family Hospice House after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born and raised in Gloucester, MA, the daughter of the late Jose and Mary Frade. She lived most of her life in Beverly, MA. She was a dedicated and hard-working woman who worked at PEAK Electronics as an electronics assembler until this past July. Rose was a compassionate, giving, nurturing, brave woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved music, nature, gardening, bird watching, her kitties, and most of all her family. She loved her daughters with her whole heart and always put them before herself. Her grandsons were the light of her life and brought her such happiness. Rose is survived by her two daughters, Linda O’Connor and her husband, John of Dover, NH and Carol Towne and her husband, Eric of Portsmouth, NH; her grandson, Ryan O’Connor and his finance Kaitie Scofield, her grandson Riley Towne; her sister Sylvia Costa of Middletown, CT; her goddaughter Judy Bednarz; her best friends Joanie and Rolland Jalbert and Nancy LaForge; and many loving nieces and her nephew. There will be a burial and celebration of life in the spring. Donations in her memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
