Obituary for Roger Sylvio Perreault Mr.

Rollinsford - Roger Sylvio Perreault, 80, a life-long resident of Rollinsford died on Friday, September 26 at Wentworth Douglass Hospital after a brave battle with ALS. He was born August 25th, 1934 in Manchester, NH, the son of Sylvio and Florence Perreault. After graduating from Dover High, he entered the Navy and served as a sonarman during the Korean War. Upon being honorably discharged, he began working at Davidson Rubber, retiring in 1986 after 42 years as a maintenance carpenter. He enjoyed carpentry and outdoor activities, with a passion for hunting and fishing. He was proud of restoring his wife’s childhood home and always enjoyed tinkering around the house. He had a calm, friendly demeanor and was always willing to help out a neighbor in need. Roger will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and they didn’t have any bigger fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gloria, his daughter Jill Boutin, his son Roger, grandchildren Alyssa, Krista, Matthew, Michael and brother Bernard and sisters Dolly and Rachael. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Claudette. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, October 3rd from 10 to 11 at Wiggin-Purdy Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave Dover, NH with a service to follow.
