Obituary for Robert Arthur Veno

Robert Veno, affectionately known as Bobby, of Dover, NH passed away at the Hyder Family Hospice House on January 1, 2024, after a brief period of failing health. He was born on March 22, 1943, to the late Arthur Veno and Jeannette (Moore) Veno.
Bobby was severely autistic, having special needs for his entire life. Even with his disability, he was able to complete seven grades at St. Charles Catholic School and in his adult life was employed for several years at Wise & Lawrence Shoe Manufacturing, General Linen, and Prosper Shevenell. His favorite pastimes were listening to music, browsing the internet, shopping, and decorating for Christmas.
He is survived by his brothers, Ron Veno and his wife, Susan Lehan, of Skowhegan, ME, Gerald (Jerry) Veno and his wife, Sue, of Phoenix, AZ, Paul Veno of Somersworth, NH, Richard (Rick) Veno and his wife, Laurie, of Northwood, NH, and sister, Marie LeMieux and her husband, John, of Matlacha, FL, and many nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his brother, Norman Veno of Manchester, NH and his sister-in-law, Doris (Dottie) Veno of Somersworth, NH.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8 at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dionne Funeral Home, 655 Central Avenue followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Joseph’s Catholic Church, 150 Central Ave, Dover, NH.
