Obituary for Robert L Robarge

Robert Leo Robarge
Epping, NH

Robert (Bob) L. Robarge, 84, of Coffin Road passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Home Health & Hospice House of Merrimack following a short battle with cancer.

Bob was born on February 12th, 1938 in Lowell, Massachusetts; the son of Leo and Helen (Rousseau) Robarge. He happily shared this birthday with his first grandson, Rob, born in 1979.

Born and raised in Lowell, Bob often spoke of his youth. He loved to fish and swim in the quarries with his friends. As a young adult, he served 10 years in Army National Guard. Bob loved to camp with his family and spent summers in their 5th wheel enjoying the outdoors. In later years, he enjoyed Sunday Football, old movies, and mystery novels. Bob would often talk of visits with his friends; Arthur Maillot, who became famous in our family for his delicious homemade fudge, and Ernie Desjardin, his faithful neighbor and best friend who was always there for him. Thank you both!

Bob was pre-deceased by his wife of 28 years, June (Cook) Robarge, and his brother, James (Bucky), Robarge. He is survived by his daughter, Pattie (Robarge) O’Connell and her husband Peter of Maumelle, Arkansas; and his son, Richard Robarge and wife Kathy of Northfield, NH., his brothers Richard Lemire of Tewksbury, MA, and Hollis Lemire of Suncook NH and long-time close friend, Maria. He leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family is very grateful for the tender care Robert received at the Merrimack Community Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation be made in Robert’s name to the Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road (Route 4), Lee, NH with visitation from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Memorial Service at 11:30 AM with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Reception to follow at 12:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend.
