DOVER - Robert Atkins of Dover NH, passed away at the Riverside Rest Home on April 16th, 2014 at the age of 94. Bob was a veteran of WW II serving in the Navy aboard the submarine, USS Sea Poacher, on war patrol in the Pacific. He was a longtime employee of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and a proud member of the Portsmouth Country Club. He is survived by his three children, Robert Jr. of Lakeland, FL, Michael of Hudson, WI, Bette Edgar of Portsmouth, NH, their spouses and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris. Visitation will be held from 12pm to 1pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 with a service to follow at 1pm at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave Dover on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
