Obituary for Richard Michael Roux
Somersworth: Richard Michael Roux, 77, passed away on December 26, 2022 at Carriage Hill in Madbury, NH.
Richard was born on August 10, 1945 in Dover, NH; the son of Bertrand and Viola (Emerson) Roux.
Richard was a dedicated machinist at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, retiring after 35 years; serving his country during Vietnam in the US Army National Guard.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Doucette of Rye; two brothers, Daniel Roux of Dover and Ronald Roux of Georgia; his grandchildren, Arthur Lane, Benjamin & Carolyn Doucette; and many family members. He was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Roux.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Wiggin Purdy McCooey Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 at the Redemption Hill Church 634 State Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801 at 11:00 am.
