Richard Reimers age 58 from Barrington, NH died on March 20th surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Richard was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Richard was a dedicated Boy Scout reaching the highest level of Eagle Scout. Richard’s favorite vacation spot from childhood to adulthood was Ocean City, NJ. Richard also loved camping, hiking and most of all spending time with family. Richard was employed for nearly 20 years at Bio-Spray in Exeter, NH and also was an oil delivery driver for many years. Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years Barbara Littlefield Reimers and five children; Nicholas (Amanda) Reimers of Dover, NH, Erika Reimers of Medford, MA, Zachariah Reimers of Barrington, NH, Abigail (Bruce) Gordon of Hillsboro, NH and Olivia (Peter) Lee of Barrington, NH. Richard had three siblings: Doreen and the late Charles Reimers of Saugerties, NY; Robert (Diane) Reimers of Perkasie, PA and his precious sister Marge (Barry) Parsons of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by a great uncle, Karl (MaryAnn) Dollinger and Aunt, Elle’ Wusterhausen all of Pennsylvania as well as many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Margaret (Beierlein) Reimers, and his brother Charles Reimers. Flowers are acceptable sent to Purdy Funeral Home 2 Concord Rd. Lee, NH. Donations may be made in memory of Richard to the Alzheimer’s Association. An Alzheimer’s donation box will be available at the funeral home. Friends and family may call from 10-11:00am on Friday, March 23, 2018 with a service to be held at 11:00am at the Purdy memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington at a later date in the Spring.
