Dover: Richard E. Fritz, Sr. “Dick”, 79 passed away peacefully on Sun., Nov. 6, 2011 with his family by his side, at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. He was born on Nov. 5, 1932 in Detroit, MI; the son of the late Elmer M. and Charlotte L. (Fecteau) Fritz. Dick was retired from Lucent Technologies in North Andover, MA with over 30 years of service. He served our country proudly in the US Navy during the Korean War. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with all of his grandchildren. During his lifetime he was a private pilot and he enjoyed aviation. Dick was an active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Newington, NH. Dick is survived by his former wife of 24 years, Joan Fritz of Dover, NH; his son Robert E. Fritz and his wife, Patricia Humphrey of Rolling Hills Estates, CA; his daughter, Cheryl A. Fritz of Truro, Nova Scotia and his son, Richard E. Fritz, Jr. and his life partner Steven Osgood of Vista, CA; his step children, Diane Kendall of Dover, Dennis Demers and his wife, Mychele of Nottingham and Stephen R. Demers and his wife Maureen of Chester, NH; his eleven grandchildren, Tracy Fritz, Timothy, Lisa, Emily and Melanie Nasson; Cara and Justin Demers, Michelle and Jennifer Kendall, Amanda Walton and Stephen R. Demers, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dick’s name to the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital & Health Foundation, 789 Central Ave., Dover, NH 03820 or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 22 Fox Run Road, Newington, NH 03801. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wed., Nov. 9, 2011 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 22 Fox Run Road, Newington, NH, with Rev. Diane L. Harvey, officiating.
