Raymond K. Gherlone, 78, Center Strafford, formerly of New Haven, Connecticut, son of Raymond H. Gherlone and Mabel D. Gherlone (Beauvais) passed away peacefully on September 17, 2018. He was born July 4, 1940 in New Haven, graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven and served in the Army. Ray is survived by his brother, Douglas A. Gherlone of Englewood, FL, his sisters Pamela G. Elkin of Arroyo Grande, CA and Andrea G. Balsamo of East Haven, CT., 10 nieces and nephews and 3 grandnieces and nephew. Ray moved to New Hampshire in the early 1970’s and held several positions in sales before founding his company, Painting Excellence. The family will always be grateful to his niece Sheilah Hitchcock of Strafford for her love and care over the years and to his dear friend Abby Moore for her care during his illness. A memorial service is being planned to be held at Strafford Bow Lake Grange in Strafford NH on November 12, 2018 and a private family burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
