Obituary for Ralph H. Grover Mr.

Dover, NH: Ralph (Buddy) H. Grover, 87, of Sixth Street, passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at Spruce Woods in Durham, NH. Buddy will always be remembered for his smile and willingness to help anyone in need. Born September 12, 1926 in Elliot Maine, the son of Dana and Rosa (Horne) Grover, he moved to Dover NH as a child. Later raising his family on the family farm where he lived till 2012. Buddy was a dairy farmer for most of his life. In his younger years he also delivered milk for Witherelles Dairy in Rochester, NH. At 47 he went to work for Moore Business Forms. After 11 years he semi -retired and worked at Merchants National Bank in Dover where he retired in 1989. He enjoyed his retirement with his wife and family taking trips and enjoying the area lakes. He was a dedicated Christian and member of Dover Assembly of God then Light House Assembly of God in Rochester where he was the Head Usher for over 40 years. He was well known for his hard work and honesty. His hand shake was his bond. You could hear him singing when he was working in the barn, milking cows or driving his Ford tractor with a load of hay. People loved to hear him yodel. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and a faithful husband to the love of his life. He will be fondly remembered as Uncle Buddy by all. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Arlene (Joy) Grover of Dover, sons Galen and wife Charlene Lassor of Dover, Gerald and wife Diane Lassor of Lebanon ME, daughters Wendy and husband Fred Reuter Jr. of Norwood MA, Tammy and husband Carl Wilson of New Mexico; Grandchildren, Christina, Victoria, Jerrod, Jesse, Charles, Jennifer, Jamie, Jeremy, James, Kevin, Cory, Alicia, Fred, Dan, James, Theresa, Tom, Jeremiah, Amanda, Gwen and Stephanie and their spouses; 40 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; a sister Mary Weare of Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his great grandchild Dillon Lassor, son-in-law Ronald Frost, infant brother Frank, brothers John, Charles, Willis and Raymond, sisters, Hazel, Florence and Anne. Family flowers only. Friends and family may call Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 from 12-1:00pm, a memorial celebration of his life to follow at Wiggin -Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH at 1:00pm, Officiated by Pastor Fredi Vega and his grandson Pastor Kevin Frost.
