Obituary for Rachel M. LeGacy Mrs.

LEE: Rachel Munroe LeGacy, 92, of Allens Ave, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at Kirkwood Corners, surrounded by her family and friends, following a period of failing health. Rachel was born in Merrimac, MA on June 6, 1922; the daughter of William and Isabelle (Baker) Munroe. She graduated from Merrimac High School in Merrimac, MA. She married the love of her life, Chet and they resided in Exeter, NH for 20 years. They then moved to North Hampton, NH and from there after Chet died, Rachel moved in with her daughter, Jayne in Lee. She was a loving, dedicated and devoted wife, mother, homemaker and friend to everyone she met. Rachel is survived by her daughter, Jayne Cotton of Lee; her son, Bill LeGacy and his wife, Laura of Raymond; her grandchildren, Mike Cotton of Hooksett, and Erik Cotton and his wife, Mary of Lee and her newly born great granddaughter, Mya Rachel; her granddaughters, Leslie LeGacy of Newmarket and Kristen LeGacy of Dover; several nieces and nephews and their children whom adored her; and her very close friend, Barbara Evans. No flowers please; donations may be made in Rachel’s name to a charity of one’s choice. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 12:00pm (Noon) at the Cotton’s Home, 23 Allens Avenue in Lee, NH.
