Dover, NH: (Pauline Louise Laliberte Hayes, 89, of Bellamy Fields Assisted Facility died
on 27th, January, 2024 after a lengthy battle with Dementia.
She was born on July 14, 1934 in Dover, NH; the daughter of Simeon C. and Rose (Hebert) Laliberte. Pauline graduated from Dover High School in 1952. She worked at Prosper Shevenell as a bookkeeper until she got married in 1956 and then moved to Louisiana. Pauline came back to NH in 1958 and was a stay-at-home mom until she started working part-time at Mayrand Wayside Furniture Store and then eventually became employed at U.N.H. in the Animal Science department. After 26 years of employment, she retired from U.N.H. and moved to North Fort Myers, FL.
Pauline was passionate about volunteering and did so with the Lee Snowmobile Club and NH Retreads. While at Fountain View RV Park in North Fort Myers, FL, she was a board member and volunteered with the FLEAS and LeeRoc for over 18 years. Pauline loved doing crafts which included embroidery, crocheting, knitting and making puzzles. She was a parishioner of St. Therese Catholic Church in North Fort Myers and was involved in the Council of Catholic Women where she was devoted in donating her crocheted prayer blankets. Pauline is survived by daughter Robin Casasanta and spouse John of Manchester, NH, and grandchildren, Kyle McGlone of Falls Church, VA, Cory and Ann Ragan McGlone of New York, NY, Jessica Hayes and Stephanie Hayes of Waterville, Maine along with a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Brown of Waterville, Maine, and a special person in her life, Karen Gaddy of Bisbee, AZ. She had several nieces and nephews and many friends throughout the country that she met while riding on the back of her husband’s motorcycle with the Retreads.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years, Seth J. Hayes and son, Robert J. Hayes. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Alzheimer’s Association http://act.alz.org/goto/Paulines-Promenaders.
Burial will occur at St. Charles Cemetery, Dover, NH at 10:30 a.m. and following after will be Pauline’s Celebration of Life held at 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May, 17, 2024 at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Rd., Rt 4, Lee.
