Obituary for Nicholas Schiavo Jr.
Nicholas “Nick” Schiavo Jr., 68, of Rochester, New Hampshire, passed away on December 29, 2023. He was born on June 19, 1955, in Revere Massachusetts, USA.
Nick was known for his kind, giving, and caring nature. He was a loving husband, brother, and friend to many. In his younger days, he was active in sports and had a passion for street hockey, baseball, and softball. He even dedicated his time as an umpire in various games. Nick also enjoyed golf, cribbage, wine tasting and dining with friends. He also enjoyed being a part of the Riders club at the Rochester Elks.
Having graduated from Everett High School, Nick went on to have a fulfilling career as a 35-year dedicated employee at General Electric Riverworks Lynn, MA. He took great pride in being a part of something greater than himself, contributing to the development of military jet engines.
Nick is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Denise N. Schiavo (Surette), and their beloved pets, Sandiey (dog) and Sophie (cat). He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Perry, and his brother, John Schiavo and wife Kathy. He will be dearly missed by his sister-in-law Jane Adolph and brother-in-law Darren Surette.
He is preceded in death by his Father Nicholas Sr., Mother Edith (Carleton), his brother-in-law William (Bill) Perry, and his sister, Valerie Holmes (Lorgeree).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to be made to a charitable organization of your choice in Nick’s name.
