Obituary for Mary Ann Hallworth Mrs.

Dover: Mary Ann (Dillon) Hallworth, 81, of Portland Ave, passed away at the residence of her daughter Marcia, on Wed., Feb. 16, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born on April 4, 1929 in Lowell, MA; the daughter of John F. and Helena (Ryan) Dillon. She owned and operated the family business, Paper n’ Pine of Dover. Mary pursued her passion for ballroom dancing until her final days, winning recognition in several competitions. Following her husband’s death, Mary enjoyed two long-standing dance partner relationships with Roland Parent and Burch Mardigian, both of whom predeceased her. Over the last several years, she particularly looked forward to dancing with the Golden Girls and her many friends at the South Berwick Community Center, the Good Ole Sports in Rochester and the Dover Senior Center. Mary is survived by her children, Jo Ann Bechard of Dover, John Hallworth and his wife Mary of Somersworth, Tom Hallworth and his wife Susan of East Hampstead, Rich Hallworth and his wife Charlotte of Nashville, TN, Marcia Bonneau and her husband Bill of Somersworth, Rob Hallworth and his wife Beth of Crofton, MD; her sister-in-law, Eloise Lassonde of Dover; her 17 grandchildren, Kerri, Kenny, “K.K.”, J.P. and his wife Laura, Mary Beth, Mike, Jeff, Amy and her husband Brendan, Melanie, Lauren and her husband Nick, Eric, Katie, Jon, Scott, Amelia, Mitchel and Felicia; and 6 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Blaine, ‘Little Guy”, Rosalee, Jake, and Ada. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Woodrow Hallworth in Dec. 1979 and her brother, John P. Dillon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Sat., Feb. 19, 2011 in the Parish of the Assumption at St. Mary’s Church, Chestnut St., Dover, NH.
