Obituary for Mary Golden (Wolff)

Mary Golden, age 77 died on November 7, 2022, which was also her wedding anniversary to her beloved, husband Arthur Golden (b. 12/26/1942 d.6/19/2012). They were happily married for 47 years.

Mary is survived by her sister Hilde Meyer of Jacksonville Florida, daughter Amy Delorge of Saco, ME and son David Golden of Gorham, ME as well as grandchildren Michael Delorge, Matthew Golden, and Elizabeth Golden, and daughter-in-law, Jessica Golden. Mary was the youngest child of Arthur and Toni Wolf.

Mary was predeceased by sisters, Inga Amari, and Helga Burby and many nieces and nephews. Mary always loved sharing a cup of coffee and a homemade dessert over good conversation with friends and family. She also enjoyed needlepoint, crafts, and loved animals. Mary was happiest when she was surrounded by family and her dogs, Peppi and Molly.

Mary was born and raised in Enfield; NH attended. She worked for NH Senator Thomas McIntyre at the beginning of her secretarial career. Later she earned her real estate license; and spent most of her of years working in both residential and commercial real estate in both Manchester and Durham, NH.

Mary was a wonderful hostess and loved entertaining her family and friends, especially for Thanksgiving, her favorite holiday. Mary was a wonderful cook and took a great deal of pride in her home. Mary was known for baking and would often bake for others, especially if she knew they were going through a difficult time. She has passed on her love of cooking and entertaining to her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader enjoyed playing Mahjong with her friends. She will be missed and we cherish the great memories.

Visiting hours will be from 9am to 10am; Saturday, November 12, at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave Dover NH followed by words of remembrance. Burial will follow at 11am, Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover
