DOVER: Martha Steuerwald, 76, of 36 Surrey Run, Dover, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at the Hyder Family Hospice House. Martha died as she had lived; with great dignity and peace after bravely fighting pancreatic cancer. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, William; her son Mark Steuerwald and his wife Sarah; and her daughter Pam Thompson and her husband Tom. She was a proud grandmother to Kristen, Ryan, Hadley and Hannah; and two great grandchildren, Aiden and Olivia, who all brought such happiness to her. Martha was loved by all her for her kindness, compassion and sense of humor. She was blessed to have such special people help care for her during her illness. We would like to thank the staff at Hyder Family Hospice House for their incredible care and compassion. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Henry Sonneborn and Dr. Agata Marszalek for their outstanding kindness to her and our family. Thank you to a special angel and friend, JayJay, for her love and support. Thank you to her best friend of over 53 years, Lolly, whom she lovingly referred to as "Mrs. Hallmark". Thank you to the ladies of her Hydro-Fitness class for their love and support and all of our family and friends who visited and loved her. There will be no services.
