Obituary for Marie Lindell Mills

Marie Lindell Mills (Lamothe), 74, of Lee, NH. passed away April 23, 2018. Born December 18, 1943, she grew up in the small mill town of Newmarket, NH, the third of five children. She married the love of her life and together, they their raised family in Lee, NH. She worked in several local factories and stores over the years until retiring in 2002 from Liberty Mutual in Portsmouth, NH. Her priorities in life were ever simple and clear, her family and friends were her world. She loved blue glass and was very talented with many kinds of handwork. A favorite part of her day was her morning coffee break with Dick and the great people of Phil’s. She loved an occasional trip to a casino, a shopping trip or going out to lunch. But, her truest and greatest joy, was the time spent with all of her babies. She delighted in the company of all of the little ones over the years, making sure each knew how loved and dear and special they were to her. She was a very giving person, and will be so very missed, by so very many. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Richard (Dick) C. Mills of Lee; Her children who loved her dearly, Ramona and her husband Cecil (Tete) Bateman of Lee, Morgan Mills of Madbury and Clinton and his wife Jeana Mills of Somersworth, NH.; Her Brothers and Sister that she cared so very much for, Joseph and his wife Lois Lamothe, Paul Pelletier and Dorothy Philbrick; Her Grandchildren she was ever so proud of, Mickey, Victoria, Jolene, Kayla, Mark, Emily, Austin and Cody; And Great Grandbabies she so treasured, Talon, Jackson, Jayden, Sawyer, Camden, Jameson and Cora; As well as many very dear In-Laws and Nieces and Nephews. Marie was predeceased by her Mother Delia M. (Lamothe) Pelletier, Father Joseph Lamothe Sr. and Step Father Paul Pelletier Sr.; a Brother, Napoleon Lamothe and a Sister, Delia (DeeDee) Pelletier. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at The Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road, Lee, NH. 03861. There will be calling hours at 1pm with a service at 2pm. Immediately following there will be a reception with refreshments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Wentworth Homecare and Hospice, 9 Andrews Rd, Somersworth, NH. 03878. The family would like to thank them and also the wonderful staff at Lee Family Practice for their caring and compassionate care.
