Dover: Marguerite “Peg” McWhinnie, 76, of formerly of Stark St., passed away on Thurs., April 26, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH. Peg was born on March 8, 1936 in Somerville, MA; the daughter of Lewis R and Jessie M (Tolley) Claar. Peg was a County Small Claims Clerk for many years in Middlesex County, MA. She was devoted to her cats; Jake and Barnaby. She is survived by brother, Lewis Claar, Jr; daughter, Paula (Harrison) Marchio and her husband, Joseph; granddaughter, Jodie (Marchio) Gagne & husband, Joseph; grandson, Todd Marchio and wife, Amber; 4 great grandchildren, Cooper, Max, Oliver and Adeline and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Peg was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Maurice “Arthur” McWhinnie; sister, Dorothy Claar and grandson Jason William Marchio. Friends and family may call on Mon., April 30, 2012 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tues, May 1, 2012 with Deacon Robert Gagnon of St. Joseph’s Church of Dover, officiating.
