Obituary for Lucy T. Hailson Mrs.

DOVER: Lucy T. (Bremner) Hailson passed away peacefully at the Wentworth Douglas Hospital the morning of December 18, 2014. Lucy was born November 19, 1923 in Plymouth, England, the daughter of George and Annie (Symonds) Bremner. Lucy was a Licensed Practical Nurse during World War II where she met her late husband, Louis A. Hailson. She immigrated to America in 1946 where she and Louis took up residence in Lawrence, MA before moving to Tewksbury, MA and eventually retiring to Salisbury Beach, MA. Lucy worked as a volunteer to various groups in Salisbury including The Pettingil House and was a member of the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce. She continued well into her eighties to welcome family and friends their “Kingdom by the Sea”. Lucy is survived by her daughters, Ann Hardiman and her husband Thomas of Dover, NH and Susan Hailson of Nashua, NH; her sons, Louis Hailson Jr. and wife Olivia of Austin, TX and Michael Hailson of Austin Texas; her granddaughters, Sarah Hardiman Weeden, Mary and Caroline Hailson and grandson Michael Hailson Jr.; Great granddaughters Brighid and Shayla Weeden as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins both in the US and United Kingdom. Charitable donations can be made in Lucy's memory to the Wentworth Home, 795 Central Ave., Dover, NH, 03820. Friends and family may call from 2-4:00pm on Sun., December 21, 2014 at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Parish of the Assumption at St. Mary’s Church, Corner of Third and Chestnut Streets, Dover, NH 03820.
