Louis George Limberis, 79, passed away on February 11, 2019, holding the hand of his loving “wifey” Patricia (Little) Limberis. Louie was born to Garoufalia & George Limberis in Boston, MA. In addition to his wife Pat, Louie is survived by his sister Joan (Tom) Hewitt and his five daughters: Pamela Young, Elizabeth Burrows, Georgina Allen, Christine Lizotte, and Joan Walker. He also leaves behind three granddaughters: Heather Sliwoski, Megan Gould, and Delia Walker; and four grandsons: Louis Burrows, Charles Burrows, Nathaniel Walker, and Austin Walker; one great-granddaughter: Isabella Burrows, as well as many nieces and nephews. Louie was part of a large family and was pre-deceased by his two sisters: Mary Karafotis and Kalliope Rumbos. For many years of his life, Louie worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard before taking a position at Phillips Exeter Academy. While much of his time was spent devoted to his Greek heritage, his joys came from gardening, geese tending, and winning a good game of cribbage. A viewing will be held at Purdy Memorial Chapel (2 Concord Rd, Route 4, Lee, NH) on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 4-6pm with a service immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (goarch.org) in his memory.
