Obituary for Loretta E. "Cassell" Peltier Mrs.

DOVER: Loretta (Cassell) Peltier, 97, of Union Court, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2014. She was at home, surrounded by her family day and night through her trying times. Loretta was a brave and beautiful mother who loved her family dearly, saying words “I love you”, until her last breath, to everyone around her. Loretta was born on February 3, 1917 in South Berwick, ME; the daughter of George and Delvina (Bisson) Follett. She lived a long and fruitful life and was able to enjoy each day almost until the end. She loved playing Bingo, going to Willard Park to picnic and enjoy nature. She was a loving mother to her children. She was married to John Cassell, who died in 1997. She was married to Joseph Peltier for 16 years. Loretta is survived by her second husband, Joseph Peltier of Dover; her daughters, Gloria Holmes and husband, Carroll of South Berwick, ME and Elizabeth Houde and husband, Norman of Elliot, ME; her sons, Robert Cassell and wife,, Pearl of Pulaski, VA, Edward Cassell and wife, Beverly of Dover, NH, James Cassell and wife, Donna of Pulaski, VA; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. Besides her parents and her first husband, Loretta was predeceased by her daughter, Loretta Cromeenes in 1991 and her son, John Cassell, Jr. in 1995. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Charles Cemetery on Old Rochester Rd, Dover, NH.
