Obituary for Linda E. Munroe (Peters)

It is with the greatest sadness that we announce that Linda E. Munroe unexpectedly passed away on February 6, 2023. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. To say that she will be deeply missed by all who knew her is too small a statement as she meant so much to us all. We will never be able to fill the space she left behind.

Linda was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family, friends, and sometimes even strangers before her own. She was always there to listen and was willing to do anything she could to help.

Linda was born in Haverhill, MA where she lived with her six brothers and sisters. She went to Haverhill High School where she met the love of her life. Linda and Robert were high school sweethearts and eventually married May 8th, 1971. They moved to Newton, NH and later Epping, NH to start their family. Over the years, they had three sons: Christopher, Casey, and Noah.

Even though she was a stay-at-home mother of three she still found success selling Amway, Tupperware, Avon, and more. She was a genuine people person and because of this she easily made friends with almost everyone she met. In the summer she loved being outside on the deck watching for hummingbirds, tending to her flowers, and entertaining a surprise visit from anyone who happened to pop on by.

Despite medical conditions that gave her mobility issues later in life, she still found ways to stay active and give where she could. She loved to teach knitting and crocheting. Linda enjoyed giving her handmade hats, scarfs, afghans, etc. to local charities for the holidays and other events like Project Linus and her Knit for a Need knitting group. Everywhere she went she would show off her work and had a long list of requests.

Linda leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Robert A. Munroe, and their children Christopher D Munroe, Casey A Munroe, and Noah J Munroe and his wife DeAnna; her grandchildren Jesse, Connor, and Thayne; her siblings Sheila, Pamela, Robert, and James; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Raymond I and Elaine Peters, and her siblings Clifford and Cynthia.

Linda, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much and one day we will all join you somewhere over the rainbow. Rest in peace.

We will have an informal memorial service for her at Wiggin Purdy McCooey Dion Funeral Home in Dover, NH on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

In Lieu of flowers, it would be more meaningful to the family to share pictures, videos, and stories of Linda’s life on her facebook page or here on her memorial wall. If you want to donate in her name please find someone you know personally that is in need and help them because that’s what Linda would have done.
