Obituary for Leuyan H Schulman

Leuyan Honney Schulman, son of Henry and Ruth Schulman, age 83, passed suddenly on Saturday, April 17th. He was born July 4, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. Leuyan leaves behind his beloved wife Veronica Jeannette Schulman with whom he was married nearly 63 years. They met when they were young teens and fell in love. He was a man who loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren, Destiny Schulman and Calvin Burnham. He also loved God and his country (and Donald Trump). He was proud to have served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was stationed in Japan for 3 years with his lifetime best friend Sal Rinaldi, with whom he will rest in peace within the Veteran’s Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. For those who knew him, they appreciated his wit, sarcasm, and genuine warm-hearted smile. He will be missed terribly by his son, Stuart Schulman who considered his dad his best friend. His daughter, Lisa Schulman and husband Spencer Burnham will have holes in their hearts from this loss. We have all treasured his time on this planet and the many lives he touched. From working after the service for the butcher's union unloading trucks, to becoming a hairdresser with his wife, and then achieving his dream of acquiring a doctorate in education, he built a good life. He taught in the South Bronx for 17 years. His license plate showed his pride: DR LEU. He lived a full life blessed with many dear friends who he shared card games, travel, dancing, camping and good times, with a Southern Comfort Manhatten in hand. He is predeceased by his sister Elaine Reiss, brother William (Deedi) Schulman, and brother Richard (Ricky) Schulman. May he rest in peace until we meet again. Friends and family may call from 4-6:00pm on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Wiggin Purdy McCooey Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH with a funeral service to follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Scott Littlefield, officiating.
