Joseph F. Marchio Leland NC & Dover NH: Joseph Frank Marchio, 68, of Dover and Leland NC died on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at SECU Hospice House/Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center after a battle with cancer. He was born on August 14, 1949 in Somerville, MA, the son of Pasquale and Frances (Belle) Marchio. Joseph graduated from Somerville High School, worked for the City of Somerville Sanitation Dept. and the Town of Stratham NH, retiring with 24 years of service. Joseph enjoyed any family time spent with his children, grandchildren and close friends, was a lover of animals, especially his dogs Grace, Chloe and his Maine Coon Cat Ephus. He especially enjoyed travelling the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii and Ireland with his best and long-time friends James and Maureen Biggs and Jeff and Trisha Shorter. Joseph is survived by spouse of 43 years, Paula (Harrison) Marchio; Children Jodie (Marchio) and Joseph Gagne of Dover; Todd and Amber Marchio of Leland NC; Brothers Paul Marchio of Boston MA, Peter Marchio of Somerville MA; Sisters Stephanie (Marchio) Miraglia of Somerville MA and Lisa (Marchio) Gonzalez and Ramon Gonzalez of Medford MA; Grandchildren Cooper and Max Gagne, Oliver Marchio and Adeline Marchio; Nephews Vincent and Steven Marchio. He was pre-deceased by his parents, his son Jason William Marchio, his brother-in-law Paul Miraglia and brother Philip A. Marchio.
