Obituary for John Bolstridge

Wells Maine: John Bolstridge, 75 of 60-2 Sherridge Lane passed away peacefully on November 16, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 2, 1942 to Chester Lee and Viola Beatrice (Johnson) Bolstridge. He attended Dover High School and celebrated with the classes of 1961, as well as 1962. John was a licensed Master Plumber and after 30 Years of service, he retired from Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was lovingly known as “A John of all trades”. Everyone that knew him had the understanding that he would always be there to help and assist with anything they needed! John loved to travel with family and friends. He enjoyed camping, hunting, working with his tractor, and woodworking. He built a state of the art, woodworking shop after his retirement and spent many hours doing what he loved! John enjoyed sharing his passion with his brother-in-law, children, grandchildren, and cousins. He leaves behind his loving wife Judith of 48 years; his daughters, Judith Thompson and her husband Michael of Eliot Maine; Miriam Pelletier and her husband Richard of Wells Maine; Tamera Harriman and her husband Dennis of Barrington New Hampshire. His sons, Fred Sherburne III of Wells Maine; John Bolstridge II of Wells Maine; Charles Bolstridge of Mount Shasta California. He was a proud and loving Pappy to his 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother Leo and two sisters Gladys, and Iva as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers David and Robert. lieu of flowers we would ask that a donation be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Family and Friends may call from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Sat., Nov. 24, 2018 with a memorial service to follow at 12pm at the Wiggin Purdy McCooey Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave, Dover, NH.
