Obituary for John Desmond Black

John Desmond Black, 84, left this world on November 28th. He passed away of natural causes surrounded by his loving family in his final weeks and days.
John was born on April 4th, 1938, in North Hammersmith, England. Evacuated during WW2 in June of 1939 to Peterborough, England. John was a proud member of the Royal Air Force and worked as an airplane engineer. After serving his country, John spent his career working in the metal industry, and ended his career in the industry working for Grimmel Industries. In 1983 John moved to New Hampshire, and met the love of his life Connie Mifflin, they married shortly after, in 1985. he wanted to share his love of English fare with the Seacoast, and opened The Coat of Arms Pub in Portsmouth, NH.
John loved meeting new people and asking questions about their lives. His quick wit, and charming sense of humor will be missed by all that knew and loved him. John was predeceased by his mother and father, Ivy and Tom Austin, and loving wife Connie Black. He leaves behind his brother, Roger Austin, his son, Roger Black, daughter Jeanette and son in law Paul Rousseau. He was also the proud grandfather of Hope Rousseau, Ryan and his wife Nikki Rousseau. And the great grandfather to Wyatt & Callen Rousseau.
There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held privately by his family.
