Dover-Joe D. Potter, 88, of Shawnee Lane, passed away March 13, 2019 at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, surrounded by his loved ones Born October 5, 1930 in Joplin, MO; he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret (Landreth) Potter of Neosho, Missouri. Joe has been a Dover resident since 1966 He proudly served our country in the US Navy for 20 years retiring in 1968. He was a former employee at Moore Business Equipment Division in Dover for 25 years, retiring in 1994. Joe is survived by his four children; Steven J. Potter and his wife Donna of Somersworth, Karen L. Potter of Dover, Valerie G. Bousquet and her husband Harold of Dover, Cheryl A. Potter of Dover; his sister Betty J. Gosvener of Dover, eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Jennie “Grace” (Walkowicz), whom he married on February 9, 1952 in Somerville, MA. Friends may call Monday, March 18, 2019 from 4pm-6pm at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave. Dover NH. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow with military honors at Pine Hill Cemetery in Dover.
