Obituary for Joanne Hsu (Michel)
Joanne Michel Hsu, age 54, passed away from a lingering illness on June 25, 2022. A service will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Parish (14 Elm Street, Manchester, NH) on Friday, July 8th at 10 AM. There will also be a friendly gathering at the Belmont Hall Restaurant (718 Grove St, Manchester, NH) on Saturday, July 9th from 12-2:30 PM.
Joanne was born on February 12, 1968 to Robert and Frances Michel on Westover AFB in Chicopee, MA. She grew up in Manchester, NH and married Donald Hsu at Lake Sunapee on September 19, 1992. After a short stay in Maryland, she moved back to NH to start a family and pursue a career as an insurance agent. She then entered the restaurant industry where she thrived and made many lifelong friends. Daughter Lauren and son Joseph were her pride and joy. Joanne was a resident of Raymond, NH for over 23 years. She loved travel and camping adventures with the family. She cherished spending time with friends doing anything and everything under the sun.
She is survived by brothers Peter Michel, Robert Michel, David Michel and husband Donald Hsu, daughter Lauren Hsu, and son Joseph Hsu.
