Joan M Gallant; 2/2/33 – 6/30/20 On June 30th, 2020 Joan Gallant 87, passed away peacefully at the home of her Son in Barrington NH. She was surrounded by her loving family. Joan met her husband, Donald Gallant in High School. They were married in 1952 and went on to have 4 children. When Joan’s children were young, the phrase “stay at home Mom” didn’t exist. It was usual for women to stay home to manage the household while their husbands provided for the family. Even by the standards of the era, Joan was a wonderful wife and mother. She cared deeply for her family and loved spending time with them. Joan and Don relocated to No Fort Myers, FL to spend their retirement years together. Joan belonged to the Forest Park Craft Club which created crafts to raise money for local women’s shelters and efforts to support veterans. Joan’s favorite activities and hobbies included shopping, crafts and oil painting. She created works of art to share with her children and grandchildren. Joan was also an avid Red Sox fan and frequently attended pre-season games in Fort Myers. Joan was predeceased by her parents Edmond Cote, Sr and Dorothy (Henzel) Cote; her husband of 55 years Donald J Gallant, and her brother Edmund Cote Jr. She is survived by her children; Dawn Gale and husband Robert of N Fort Myers FL, Richard Gallant and wife Dianne of N Fort Myers FL, Steven Gallant and wife JoEllen of Barrington NH, Cathy Wolf and Michael D’Angelo of Haverhill MA.
