Obituary for Jennifer Karen Walsh (Glathar)

Jennifer Karen Walsh, 45, of Dover, passed away on 23 February, in the year of our Lord 2022 after a short battle with Covid and pneumonia.

Jennifer was born on 03 December, 1976 to Susan Crocker and Kevin Glathar in Portsmouth, VA. After Attending Mount Ararat High School, she went on to work at various jobs throughout her young adult life.
After trying to find her way in the business world she decided to join the United States Army and after graduation from bootcamp she continued her training as a combat medic which would help her in her near future. Unfortunately, an undiagnosed medical condition cut her career short.

After the Army Jennifer moved to New York City where she found work with a national bank and was enjoying her life in the big city. She was witness to the events of 9/11/01 and her first instinct was to head downtown and volunteer with the Army medical team that was set up to help. This tells you all you need to know about her. She always wanted to help others. However, the scars of that day were too much to bear so she returned home to Maine.

In 2002, she met Jeff Walsh, and they wed in October 2003 after a short engagement, going on to have 5 children, Ashlynn, Elizabeth, Margaret, Joseph, and Christopher. Jennifer lived to be a mother and loved each child with all her heart and soul.

Jennifer was a wonderful mother. She listened to silly rants about characters in books that were being read. She snuggled for hours while watching kid’s shows. She loved just hanging out and listening about your day and talking about shows and movies that you liked. She kissed boo boos, she gave praise, she taught and guided her family to make them all better.

Jennifer was predeceased by her father Kevin Glathar, and Grandparents Frank and Jean Crocker. She is survived by her Husband Jeff Walsh, children Ashlynn, Elizabeth, Margaret, Joseph, and Christopher Walsh, Mother Susan Glathar of Texas, and her brother Ryan Glathar of California.
