Obituary for Jean H Hedly Mrs.

Barrington: Jean H. Hedly, 85, of Pleasant View Center, Concord and formerly of Barrington, NH and Everett, MA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at the Concord Hospital. Jean was born on June 5, 1929 in Cambridge, MA; the daughter of Alexander and Wanda (Thomas) Atkinson. Jean worked as a ward secretary in the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett, MA for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Everett, MA for over 60 years, member of Kappa Delta Class, Missions Committee and Young Peoples Group, Member and Deacon Emeritus of First Baptist Church of Northwood, NH, Missions Committee, and Past-President of The Christian Women’s Group of Dover, and active member Seniors Aid New Hampshire. She had just completed a training session through hospice to help her fellow residents and their families at Pleasant View Center. She was pre-deceased by her husband, William and her parents, Alexander and Wanda Atkinson. Jean was the loving mother and safe harbor of her three children, Stephen Hedly and his friend Karen Anderson, John Hedly and his wife, Linda and Bonnie Jean Tuttle; her sister Frances Marr; her five grandchildren, Christopher Tuttle (Ann), James Hedly, Jennifer Mason (Chris) and Jason Hedly, and Melissa Hedly and six great grandchildren, Christopher M., Olivya and Alexander Tuttle, Dylan Hedly, Mackenzie Almstead and Isabelle Mason, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at Bow Lake Free Will Baptist Church, 530 Province Road, Strafford, NH (Route 202A), Saturday, June 21 at 11 am with calling hours from 9:30-10:45 am at the church. Interment will take place at the Forest Glen Cemetery, Forest Glen Road, Reading, MA later time. Arrangements are under the direction of Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Rd., Rte. 4, Lee, NH.
