Dover: Hester Velasquez of Chapel Street passed away on June 21, 2021. Hester was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Rosina Danforth and predeceased by her Brother Royce Danforth. She was born in Gardiner Maine.

She is survived by her Daughter Joy and son in law Michael Dunphy; Grandchildren, Scott and Crystal Richard, Jimmy and Nicki Page, Amanda Bothwick, Colleen Dunphy, and Lauren Dunphy; Great Grandchildren, Joshua Richard, Tyler Richard, Diamond Page, Tiara Page, Alana Wentz, Olivia Page, and Lily Page; Great Great Grandchildren, Wyatt Richard, Aubrey Richard and Carmen Richard.

She worked at The Kennebec Journal in Augusta Maine, The Augusta Mental Health Institute in Augusta Maine. While in Dover she worked as a bailiff at The Strafford Superior Court and worked at Strafford Guidance until she retired at 74.

Donations may be made in Hester’s name to “Tree of Life”.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, prior to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Wiggin Purdy McCooey Dion Funeral Home. 655 Central Ave, Dover, NH, with Chaplin Joseph, officiating.
