Obituary for Helen Worthen Mrs.

DOVER: Helen Worthen, 96, formerly of Central Towers passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Riverside Rest Home with her family by her side. Helen was born on February 26, 1918 in Dover, NH; the daughter of Bolis and Mary (George) Sesin. Helen grew up in Dover, attended St. Mary Academy and spent her working years at Miller Shoe. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Worthen, her parents, and several brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by her brothers, Albert Sesin and his wife, Francis and Peter Sesin and his wife, Kay; a sister, Patricia Tobias; and several nieces and nephews including Carol Kennedy and her husband, Scott, Sharon Buckley and her husband, Jack, Peter Hills and his wife, Susan and Helen Brockway and her husband, Jim. The family would like to thank Dr. Celis and his wonderful team at the Wound Care Center. A special thanks to her caregiver and friend Donna Anderson. No flowers please; memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to St Jude´s Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Joseph’s Church, 150 Central Ave., Dover, NH, with Father Agapit Jean, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery on Dover Point Road, Dover, NH. Services are under the direction of Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH.
