Obituary for Glenn H. Salisbury Mr.

Glenn H. Salisbury, 75, of Wallingford, CT, died Monday, November 21, 2011, after a courageous 3 month battle with lung disease. He was the beloved husband of Glenda J. Crocker Salisbury. He was born in Nashua, NH, a son of the late William and Arline Sears Salisbury. He had served in the U.S. Army and had been employed for 34 years as a meat cutter at Stop and Shop until his retirement in 1999. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins. In addition to his wife Glenda, he is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert M. and Brenda Salisbury of Barrington, NH, and Brian C. and MaryBeth Salisbury of Wallingford, CT; his six grandchildren, Jana, Kelcie, Joshua, Charles, Matthew and Kristen; his three sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and John Olson of Greenland, NH, Nancy and Lenn Fortier of Rochester, NH, Beverly and Robert Roy of Winter Haven, FL and sister-in-law Gloria Salisbury of Portsmouth, NH; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, David M. Salisbury; his sister, Loretta Capalbo; and his brothers, Norman and Jimmy Salisbury. His family will receive relatives and friends in the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, Dover, NH, on Sunday December 4, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Interment will be private in Riverside Cemetery.
