Obituary for George William Duddy

George William Duddy, 93 from Strafford, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening on 10/4/2022.

He was born on 11/21/1928 in Medford, MA; the son of Henry W. and Margaret (Saunders) Duddy.

He started working in the steel mills right out of high school. During this time, he also serviced in the army. When the mills closed, he semi-retired and drove a school bus. For many years he enjoyed driving the kids to and from school and to many field trips and sports games.

He enjoyed the outdoors, caring for the yard, playing a good game of horseshoes. He also loved bowling and playing gin rummy with the family.

He was a faithful parishioner at St Theresa Church North Reading MA and St Joseph’s Parish Northwood, NH

George is survived by his wife of 67 years Alice (Corbett), Daughter Pattie and Husband Russ Bennett of Strafford, NH, Son Kevin Duddy and Partner Holly James of Nottingham, NH, Daughter Sharon Duddy and Partner James Teas of Lowell, MA and Daughter Pam Duddy and Husband Steve Cranford of Haverhill, MA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and friends.

He was pre-deceased by his parents Henry and Margaret Duddy and siblings James Duddy, Lillian McAteer and Regina Ford.
