Gary Chris Friedrich of Nottingham, New Hampshire, passed away on July 3, 2023 at his home. Gary was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. A skilled football player, he enjoyed playing on teams throughout high school and through his graduation from Concordia College in 1972. He met his wife, Elizabeth, while attending college and proposed to her only 8 days after their first date.
Gary worked as a teacher and principal and as a sales manager for Farmers Insurance while living in California. After moving to New Hampshire, he spent many years in sales for the telephone company. Gary later became a Vice President at Kane Insurance. He retired in December of 2021.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth; their daughter Tara, her husband Jon, and grandson Jackson; daughter Kaitlyn, husband Eric, and granddaughters Mackenzie and Isla.
Gary loved his family, history, archaeology, football, gardening, dogs, planning trips for the family, and insisted on applesauce with every dinner.
Family will be having a private celebration of his life.
