Obituary for Frederick B. Cornell Jr. Mr.

Frederick B. Cornell, Age 93, died peacefully in his sleep on 9 December 2019 at Bellamy Fields in Dover, NH. He was born on 13 July 1926 in Delaware, son of Frederick and Louise Latham Cornell. After graduation from high school he entered the US Navy and served in the South Pacific during World War II. He entered the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences after the war, graduating with a BS in pharmacy. He joined the pharmaceutical industry where he remained for 38 years retiring as a sales and marketing executive. He and his wife, Peggy, then moved to Georgetown, South Carolina from Ridgefield, Connecticut. In Georgetown, he worked as a pharmacist at Waccamaw RX Center and Winyah Pharmacy for another twelve years. He remained a member of the Chester Masonic Lodge #236, F&A.M. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 64 years, Peggy, and survivors include two sons, Barry Cornell of North Port, FL, Eric Cornell (wife, Karen) of Danville, NH, daughter Sherry Cornell of Summerville, SC, sister Lois Carter (husband Stan) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, two granddaughters, two grandsons, nephews and a niece and many beloved friends and extended family. A celebration of life will be planned by the family for a later date. Memorial donations in honor of Fred can be made to Bellamy Fields, 150 Garrison Rd, Dover, NH 03820 whose mission is to minimize the impact and slow the progression of degenerative dementia diseases and other chronic conditions of aging.
