Obituary for Frank I Goodwin Mr.

Berwick, ME: Frank I Goodwin, 85, died Sat. Dec. 24th after a lengthy illness. He was born March 16, 1926; the son of Frank E. Goodwin and Eva (Williams) Goodwin. He was a WWII veteran and worked at GE in Somersworth for 20 years while also working part time at his own business as a public accountant. He retired from GE in 1967 to pursue a full time career in accounting and retired from accounting in 1988. He was a past president of the NH Association of Public Accountants; a past treasurer of the Dover Exchange Club; a member of the Dover American Legion Post #8; and a lifetime member of the Dover Lodge of Elks #184. Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kathleen; a son Robert and his wife, Leslie; daughters, Susanne Picard and her husband, Richard; Donna Geaudreau and her husband, Alfred; Sharon Dionne; Judith Swett and her husband, David and Nancy Joyce. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Cincevich and her husband Nikolas; fourteen grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, who all loved their Papa and Great Papa. He was predeceased by a son, Richard and his sister Barbara Szuksta and her husband, Walter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, Memorial And Honor Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St, Manchester, NH 03101. Family and friends may call from 10-11:00am on Wed., Jan.4, 2011 with a liturgy of the word service to follow at 11:00am at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH with Father Michael Taylor, officiating.
