Obituary for Frances Bates (Morrison)
Frances M. Bates, 72, passed away on Fri. July 15 2022 at Dover Center for Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness with kidney disease.
She was born in Dover, NH on Dec. 18, 1949 and grew up in Dover & Durham NH.
Daughter of Richard Morrison and Elizabeth (Smith) Morrison. Brother Robert H. Morrison of Berlin, MA.
Married Thomas F. Bates in 1977. Son Adam F. Bates of Dover, born 1980. Daughter Amy (Bates) Hart of Greenville, NC, born 1985.
She graduated from Oyster River High School in Durham NH in 1969. Associate's Degree from NH College in 1975.
Visiting hours are Tue. Aug. 9 from 2pm-4pm at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH.
The memorial service will be at the Durham Community Church, 17 Main St. Durham, NH on Wed. Aug. 10 at 11:00 am. Interment at Durham Cemetery will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Association of Kidney Patients, 14440 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33613 in Frances’s honor.
